Who We Are
Giving Back, Transforming Lives, Ensuring Success
The Dallas County Community College Foundation supports the seven-college district through leadership, innovation and resources. The mission of the Foundation is to enhance the level of excellence of DCCCD and its seven colleges, their students, programs and employees.
The colleges of DCCCD include Brookhaven, Cedar Valley, Eastfield, El Centro, Mountain View, North Lake and Richland. Together, all seven colleges educate and train more than 100,000 credit and continuing education students each semester.
The Foundation provides student scholarships, supports professional development and fosters innovation in educational programs.
Since its creation in 1973, the Foundation has raised more than $80 million in private donations and distributed more than $38 million in scholarships and grants to support thousands of students and professionals in DCCCD and its colleges.
In 2013, the DCCCD Foundation awarded approximately 3,900 scholarships totaling $595,000. Over a third of the Foundation's scholarship opportunities are funded by permanent endowments, such as the internationally recognized Rising Star program.
