Twanda
O. Briggs
District Grants Management & Compliance
Specialist
Twanda has been
employed with the DCCCD since February 1988, entering the district
working at Brookhaven College for 1-year. She has worked in the
District Development Office since May 1989, where she has gained
extensive grant experience. Her area of specialization is in post-award
administration for local, state, and federal grants totally over
$20 million in restricted funds in the district, which involves
working with grant staff on program implementation management from
start-up to close-out, and providing in-house grant training opportunities
free to all staff.
Twanda
is a product of the DCCCD where she earned an Associate of Applied
Arts and Science Degree in Management, Academic Certifications in
Management and Supervision from Cedar Valley College in Lancaster,
Texas. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Relations
and Business from Amberton University in Garland, Texas.
She
has received certificates of training in leadership, grants management,
state and federal grant compliance regulations. She is actively
involved in the Council for Resource Development (CRD) based in
Washington, DC, where she has been a member for over 11 years.
