Health Professions Endowment
Our colleges provide excellence in training health care professionals.
Community colleges educate and train more than 70 percent of practicing health care professionals in Texas. Many of these professional are the first ones who touch you or a loved one in an emergency or during routine doctor visits.
North Texas faces a shortage of qualified nurses and allied health professionals. The Dallas County Community College District is working hard to respond to this challenge.
45 years experience in training health professionals
30 years average work experience for nursing faculty
230 registered nurses graduate from our colleges each year
200 allied health professionals graduate annually
95 percent of nursing graduates pass the state licensure exam
21 different allied health programs offered at our seven colleges
