DESCRIPTION

The Ann Faulkner Scholarship was created by family and friends to pay tribute to Ann Faulkner, an outstanding Brookhaven College faculty member who, for 24 years, taught students with heartfelt dedication, enthusiasm and excellence.   Faulkner also served as president of the Brookhaven College and DCCCD faculty associations. Because Faulkner was a warm, caring and exceptional instructor who continues to have an open-door policy with students and believes in personal touch when it comes to assisting students, this scholarship was created in her name to benefit students enrolled in developmental reading at Brookhaven.

FULL REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must:

  1. Be a Brookhaven College student
  2. Be enrolled in developmental reading courses during the previous fall semester 
  3. Demonstrated perseverance and persistence in their studies

 

Submit the following to the Brookhaven College Financial Aid Office:

  1. Completed DCCCD Foundation scholarship application form

SELECTION PROCESS

Recipients are selected by a committee of developmental reading and writing instructors at Brookhaven College in coordination with the Brookhaven Financial Aid Office.
