District Humanities Scholarship Fund

This scholarship will be funded by royalties from Pearson Publication and from other donations. A royalty of $1 per book for the custom publication of the 6th ed. of The Creative Impulse by Dennis Sporre will be paid to the DCCCD Foundation. The royalty is for the material added by Adrien Cuellar-McGuire, Prof. of Humanities and Cultural Studies at Brookhaven College, to the custom publication.  This scholarship will be awarded to students currently enrolled in a humanities course or have completed HUMA course within the last academic year.

Eligibility Criteria
The student recipient must be currently enrolled in a humanities course or have completed a HUMA course within the last academic year. 

Application Process
Each member of the Humanities District Curriculum Committee may nominate one student per campus for this scholarship.

Selection Process
The recipient will be chosen by the Humanities District Curriculum Committee.

Recipient Requirements
The student must use this money for tuition at any DCCCD campus during the current or following academic year.  If the money is not used within this time frame, it will be deposited back into the Brookhaven Humanities Scholarship Fund.

Deadline
For application: June 1st to Financial Aid Office
Finalist applications to Foundation: June 5th
Notification to students: No later than: August 1st
