CompuCredit Aspire a mas Scholarship Endowment Fund

The CompuCredit Aspire a mas Scholarship Endowment Fund was established in 2001 by a donation from the CompuCredit Corporation and matched by the Dallas County Community College District Foundation. This scholarship will provide financial support for students who attend Mountain View College.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must attend Mountain View College, enroll in a minumum of six (6) credit hours and have a minumum 2.5 GPA or better. Must have a financial need. Enroll in credit courses only.

Application Process
Applicant must submit the following at the Mountain View Financial Aid office:
• Complete DCCCD Foundation Scholarship Appplication form.
• One-page essay describing "How This Scholarship Will Help Me Achieve My Goals" - essay should be written according to the attached guidelines.
• One letter of recommendation from a DCCCD faculty or staff member.
• Please see a financial aid advisor at Mountain View College for a financial need assessment in order to apply for this scholarship.

Selection Process

  • Phase I - Financial Aid submits applications of top five candidates to the Foundation office.
  • Phase II - Foundation Scholarship Committee and CompuCredit determine final winners.

Recipient Requirements
Recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA or better. Failure to do so could result in a reduction or loss of scholarship benefits.

Deadline
For application: Second week in April.
Finalist applications to the Financial Aid Office: Second week in May.
Notification to students: Third week in July.
