Gabriel Flores

Gabe Flores was appointed Ethics Director at Texas Instruments (TI) on June 1, 2017. Prior to this role he spent 5 years as Vice President and Human Resources Director for TI’s Technology & Manufacturing Group (TMG). In TMG, Gabe focused on growing future leaders, HR’s contribution to manufacturing productivity, and stewardship of TI’s factory work environments around the world. 

Gabe’s career start was in TI’s Lubbock manufacturing plant; for the following 20 years Gabe held a number of HR and leadership positions across TI’s business and sales organizations, before returning to TMG.  These experiences, as well as his passion for employee advocacy, will serve him well in the Ethics role. 

'Gabe grew up in Carlsbad, NM. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in public administration from Texas Tech University. He is married to Kristin, and together they enjoy live music in small venues and the search for great restaurants; he’s also a dedicated golfer with lofty goals for his game! 

Gabe cares greatly about finding opportunities to positively affect education in Texas; he serves on the Dallas County Community College District Foundation Board and the Texas Tech Graduate School Dean’s Advisory Committee.  Gabe and Kristin have also established an endowed scholarship for women at Texas Tech.
