Scott Letier

Treasurer

Scott Letier is the Managing Director of Deason Capital Services (DCS), the family office for Darwin Deason, and is the Chairman of the Board of Conduent, Inc.(CNDT).  Scott has a long standing commitment and belief in the value of education, and its ability to change outcomes for people and communities.  He was introduced to the Foundation and the Rising Star program in 2000, joined the board and Executive Committee in 2001. In addition to serving as the Foundations’ Treasurer, Scott serves on the Board’s Executive Committee, chairs the Finance Committee and Audit Committee and previously was a member of the STEM Initiative Committee.

As the Managing Director of DCS, Scott is actively involved in investing in private and public equities, as well as alternative assets in addition to managing administrative, accounting estate and tax functions. As a part of his role with DCS, Scott serves the Chairman of the Board of Conduent, Inc., and serves on the board of Xerox Holdings, Inc. (XRX). Scott has been managing family offices for 20 years and in addition to investment experience has extensive corporate finance experience as a private equity professional, COO, CFO and board member.

Prior to joining DCS, he was the Managing Director of JFO Group, a family office and private equity firm; Partner and CFO of Red River Ventures, a private equity firm; and Partner and CFO of 2M Companies, Inc., a family office and private equity firm.  Prior to 2M, he served in management, financial and operating roles; having worked for 12 years in COO and CFO roles with operating companies.  Scott has been involved in over 100 M&A and capital transactions in his career totaling several billion dollars in cumulative value.  Scott is a Certified Public Accountant, and began his career at Ernst & Young working with both the Assurance and Advisory groups.

Scott graduated with honors from Southern Methodist University, earning a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a focus primarily in Accounting.  Scott’s passion for Dallas College is rooted in his educational experiences, having taken advantage of a number of courses at Dallas College that helped further his professional career.
