DCCCD plays a crucial role in educating our future workforce which is vital for continuing growth of our economy. It is providing skill development opportunities to those who do not have the resources for a four college.

Ashok Mago, Padma Shri & Pravasi Bhartiya Samman awardee is Chairman & CEO of Mago and Associates a Dallas based business and investment consulting company. He holds MBA from University of Texas at Dallas.
In 2015 Governor Greg Abbott appointed A.K. to the University of North Texas System Board of Regents for a six year term. He is distinguished Alumnus of University of Texas at Dallas.

He is a member Salvation Army Advisory Board of Dallas County and Dallas County Community College District Foundation Board, Primary Care Clinic Board. He also serves as advisory board member of BBVA Compass bank in Dallas
A.K has held various positions of importance of which one of special note is that of the * Director of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Board, in 2002, the same airport where he landed as an immigrant in 1974.

Mr. Mago has immensely contributed to the improvement of India-US business relations.  He is the founder chairman of Greater Dallas Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (Now known as US-INDIA Chamber of Commerce which he helped establish in 1999 and served as the Chairman till 2003. Chamber has actively promoted trade and investment between India and the USA.
