Margo Ramirez Keyes

Margo, a highly respected civic leader, philanthropist and business owner, has a nearly two decade long history of service in the Dallas Community to causes that advance the Arts, Education and Healthcare.  She is President of MargoDesigns, a boutique trunk show design company whose mission is to contribute a portion of the proceeds to support health and education non-profit organizations. She also serves as co-owner of Key Development, LLC, a real estate development company and 7 Star Aviation, LLC, an aircraft and charter company located in Addison, Texas.

Professionally, Margo’s nearly 30-year career spans the consumer products sector in retail and wholesale business.   Following a successful career in the private sector, she was recruited by the British Consulate to serve as Vice-Consul and Commercial Trade Officer, based in Dallas, with responsibility for advancing the United Kingdom’s retail interests in the United States.

Regarding Board service, Margo’s contributions are significant.  Since 2001, Margo has served as a Member of the Foundation Board for the Dallas Community College District (DCCCD) and is a former member of the Executive Committee.  In the fall of 2016 she was appointed to serve as Director of the UT Southwestern Medical Center President’s Advisory Board.   And for nearly 12 years, Margo has served as a member of the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital ALSAC Board in Memphis, Tennessee.  She currently serves as an Executive Board Member for the local St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital local chapter.

Margo is an active member of the following community boards:  The Arts Community Alliance (TACA) Board of Governors; the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) Soluna Festival Committee; the Watertower Theatre; the Latina 100; and the Incarnation House.

She is a member of the Executive Board for the SMU Meadows School of the Arts; and is a Tiffany Circle Member for the American Red Cross.  As members of the Leadership and Capital Committee for the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, Margo and her husband are also actively involved in raising funds to restore the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe located in the historical arts district downtown Dallas.

Margo received her B.S. in Home Economics specializing in Textile & Fashion Design,
From Incarnate Word University in  San Antonio, Texas.   Margo is married to James “Jim” W. Keyes former CEO of 7-Eleven, Inc. and Blockbuster.  He is currently Chairman of Wild Oats and President of Key Development, LLC.
