Muse Scholars Program
Are you or do you know an emerging leader with a strong determination to succeed? The Muse Scholars Program is available to students at all seven DCCCD colleges who have demonstrated community leadership and who are committed to succeeding in academics and in life.
Community and business leaders John and Lyn Muse created the scholarship program in 2009 to recognize students demonstrating leadership, a deep work ethic and focused educational direction. The Muses are longtime supporters of the DCCCD Foundation, for which Lyn serves as a board member.
To qualify for the Muse Scholars Program, students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or be in the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class. Demonstrated leadership ability may include leadership roles in academic, church, community or extracurricular activities.
Scholarship recipients are selected by a private committee and must commit to attending several group events throughout the academic year. John and Lyn Muse remain deeply involved with the scholars not only through their financial support but with their personal involvement.
Deadline to apply is the first Friday in April. To apply see the full Muse Scholarship requirements.
