The Arts

Dallas County excels in the arts. The expansion of the downaton Arts District and the development of world-class museums and cultural centers have transformed Dallas into a leader in the arts.

The Campaign for Excellence in the Arts brings this excellence to DCCCD and its community. The arts initiative supports arts education, creation and appreciation at our seven colleges and the communities they serve through:

Faculty Excellence
Providing artist-in-residence programs and faculty development to reinvigorate creative production and teaching

Student Excellence
Promoting the excellence of the arts at our colleges by providing scholarships for outstanding students, funding for participation in arts experiences; and supplies for artistic creation

Environmental Aesthetics
Creating commissioned gateway sculptures at each college and a rotating series of gallery exhibits

Innovation
Providing new and unique models for supporting and integrating the arts within the colleges and the community
